Hawaii Fire Department personnel resumed their search this morning for a 36-year-old man who went missing yesterday off 11th Avenue in Hawaiian Paradise Park.

The father of the missing hiker last saw his son enter an undeveloped property with thick brush and trees at the end of 11th Avenue (near Kaloli Drive) at 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

After his son failed to return, the hiker’s father called 911 at 5 p.m. yesterday.

Both on-duty fire department and volunteer fire personnel searched the surrounding area, including roadways above and below 11th Avenue, but did not locate the missing man.
