Opihi Picker Pulled From Ocean by Bystanders

An opihi picker was transported to Hilo Medical Center this morning after being pulled from the ocean by bystanders off the King’s Landing area of Hilo.
Fire department paramedics arriving at the Pumaile area at the end of Kalanianaole Avenue administered cardio-pulmonary resuscitation to the unidentified man.
An ambulance, the fire department’s Chopper 1 and a rescue boat from the Waiakea Fire Station responded to the incident.
The man’s condition was not immediately available.
