Fire Hydrant Test on Alii Drive Next Thursday

Residents of Kailua-Kona living along Alii Drive between Walua Road and Lunapule Road are being advised to take precautions next week because of a scheduled fire hydrant test.

The county Department of Water Supply said the test will be held Thursday, March 14, between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Customers in the affected area may experience slightly discolored water for several hours after the test. Residents are advised to store a container of drinking water and refrain from washing clothes until the supply of water returns to normal.
