There’s no need to be sour about the sold out brew fest this weekend.

Tickets are still available for Thursday night’s Brewers’ Pa’ina at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort.

OK, so there won’t be 70 plus beers available for sampling, or foods from 35 island chefs.

However, there will be delectable Kona Brew beer and food pairings at the night’s dinner under the stars.

Don’t just sample, indulge in an array of dishes with beer as one of the ingredients. Live music will accompany the Hawaiian sunset and later, starry night sky.

Desserts, pupus, entrees, sides and more will be offered. Tickets are $60 each, and are available online at www.konabrewersfestival.com.

Identification is needed for entry into this event as it is strictly 21 years of age and older. Get a cheap thrill and get carded. The dining begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

Don’t let the gloat-y Brew Fest ticket holders yuk it up while you stay behind. Experience a night of beer and food pairing that offers a different experience, not better or worse.

Just repeat that to yourself while you wave off your friends as they collect their commemorative Brew Fest glass and sample the brews. Either way, there’s beer. Win.
