Dance From the City, Not the Musical
Jazz Dance from Chicago’s Gus Giordano Dance Co., offers gorgeous movement, crackling energy and dramatic interactions.
Sunday, February 10, Jazz dance will command audience attention at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo’s Performing Arts Center from 7:30 p.m.
This group of dancers are definitely entertaining. Never-mind their critical acclaim, the world renown and the relative longevity of the company, (they will celebrate five decades of dance).
Audiences of lay dance people around the world are energized by their performances. Hilo is rather lucky to have this caliber of a dance company grace the stages of the UHH PAC.
Last Thursday night, February 7, Giordano Dance Chicago entertained attendees at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. Their Hawaiian tour started on February 4, and will end on a romantic note on Valentine’s Day.
Tickets are available at the box office for $25 general, $12 for students and $20 for seniors. Make parting with this internationally acclaimed dance company less sorrowful and more sweet, by making the time to meet with a night of Jazz dance delight.
