Police last week arrested two people after they were allegedly found in a Waimea motel room with nearly six ounces of cocaine, seven ounces of marijuana and $8,900 in cash.

Police said officers responding Thursday to a report of a disturbance on Lindsey Road found 20-year-old Robert Reed unconscious in one of the motel’s rooms.

Reed, who police said has no permanent address, was taken to North Hawaii Community Hospital where he was treated and later released.

Also in the room with Reed was 22-year-old Jessie Bitton of Kailua-Kona, police said.

Police said narcotics were also visible in the room.

Vice officers armed with a search warrant allegedly found 166.5 grams of cocaine, the marijuana and cash, and paraphernalia associated with the use and distribution of illegal drugs in the room.

Cocaine residue and more than 12 grams of marijuana were allegedly found in Reed’s vehicle.

Reed and Bitton were arrested Thursday and each was charged on Friday with 24 offenses including 10 counts of promoting a dangerous drug, six counts of promoting a detrimental drug and seven counts of possessing drug paraphernalia. Each was also charged with a single count of promoting a controlled substance near a school.

Bail for each was set at $313,000.
