Dante Peter Gilman was initially reported as missing as of Jan. 10. Police said Wednesday that during the course of the missing-person investigation they found information that led them to believe Gilman had been murdered.

The man arrested today was identified as 30-year-old Claude Keone Krause. He was being held at the Hilo cellblock without charges pending further investigation.

A search is ongoing for Gilman’s body, police said.
