Police said an autopsy of murder victim Lloyd Rubio showed that he died of a stab wound to the abdomen that pierced his aorta.

Cherie Sueko Moskwa, 37, who was Rubio’s girlfriend, remained in police custody Tuesday night after her arrest the day before on suspicion of second-degree murder. No charges had been filed.

Rubio, 38, died Monday morning at Hilo Medical Center. He had been taken there Monday morning after officers responding to a 5:19 a.m. 911 call found him with a stab wound at his home on the 1400 block of Kaumana Drive.
