Roadways in West Hawaii and Hamakua will be the subject of alternating road closures next week.
The state Department of Transportation said a bank stabilization project will prompt the closures on Route 11 in Kainaliu, while roadway reconstruction will affect Mamalahoa Highway near Makalei in the vicinity of Hina Lani Street.
The alternating closures will also be in effect on Route 19 in Kalopa between Kahawai Road and Hauola Road.
The traffic interruptions are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.
