Woman is Second Suspect Charged in May Robbery

A second suspect has been charged in connection with the robbery in May of a 68-year-old Hilo man.

Police today said Chassity-Ann Aiu-Horie, 26, was charged Tuesday with robbery, assault and theft. Aiu-Horie has no permanent address but was known to frequent Hilo.

Her bail was set at $17,000.

The charges stem from a May 25 incident involving a 68-year-old Hilo man who was assaulted and had his wallet was stolen after giving a ride to two people in Hilo.

The victim did not report the incident to police until he returned to the Big Island on Oct. 5.

A former Hilo resident was charged with the same offenses last week in connection to the incident.
