Police have charged a second suspect in the Nov. 26 beating and robbery of a man in a Kailua-Kona parking lot.

Alexander Miller, 21, of Kailua-Kona was arrested late Monday morning and charged that night with robbery, assault and theft.

He was initially being held in lieu of $15,500 bail.

Police last week charged Alexander Cho, a 20-year-old homeless man, in connection with the incident that occurred shortly after midnight.

The charges stem from an attack on a 26-year-old Kealakekua man in the parking lot of the Ali`i Sunset Plaza. The victim told police that he had gone to the northwest corner of the parking lot with a local man he had met in a bar. There they met with five or six other men who punched and kicked the victim and stole his backpack.
