Bala Earns Final PacWest Men’s Soccer Award

University of Hawai`i at Hilo junior forward Rayden Bala earned the final Player of the Week award for men’s soccer from the PacWest Concerence. This award covers games played between October 29 and November 4.

Bala finished the season as the team’s leader with six goals scored. Three of those goals were scored on November 3 when his Vulcans defeated Academy of Art 5-1 in their final game of the season.

He also scored a goal in the team’s 3-2 victory against Holy Names University on October 30. He picked up an assist, his first of the season, on the game winning goal that was scored by Lane Lorenzo.

The Kealakehe graduate started nine of the team’s 14 matches this season and finished with 13 points on the season, tied for the team lead with Xavier Fuerte.

The Vulcans finished the season with a record of 5-8-2.
