Chances are you’ve seen Red Grammer, children’s entertainer on television.

He has made numerous appearances on the Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Showtime, The Today Show and CBS This Morning.

Grammer’s sweet messages and life lessons are delivered with fun vocals and upbeat tempo.

On Friday October 26 at 6:30 p.m., Grammer brings his singular talent to the University of Hawai’i at Hilo’s Performing Arts Center.

The evening will be full of uplifting songs, positive messages and comedic fun.

Parents Magazine has described Grammer as “The best voice in children’s music,” and his CD “BeBop Your Best,” was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2005.

Grammer began his career as a folk singer with the Limeliters and also co-wrote songs with his wife Kathy for their sons Andy and David.

The couple’s songs gained in popularity once their song, “Can You Sound Just Like Me?” was featured on NPR’s All Things Considered.

Tickets are $15 general, $10 discounted, and $5 for UHH students and children aged 17 and younger.
