The county is advising motorists using East Puainako Street near the Prince Kuhio Plaza that its intersection with Ohuohu Street is being changed to a four-way stop.

The change was going to take place as early as today but recent rain got in the way.

A Department of Public Works crew needs a day of good weather to complete installation of stop signs on Puainako as well as new road markings, a spokeswoman said.

The project includes removal of the left-hand turning lane for east-bound traffic on Puainako.

The county is reminding the public that the first vehicle to approach the intersection has the right of way. If two vehicles reach it at the same time, the vehicle on the right goes first.
