Oktoberfest: Beer, Lederhosen and the Chicken Dance

Don your lederhosen and get ready to chicken dance at the North Hawai’i Rotary’s Oktoberfest Benefit on October 19.

There will be beverages, live music, silent auction, costume contests, dancing and German and Bavarian food and of course beer. Festivities take place at the Pukalani Heritage Stables at the Paniolo Heritage Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Local brews from Waimea’s Big Island Brewhaus will be serving their beers at the fest.

Peruse and purchase wares during the silent auction and help fund Waimea Country School. This annual event also assists with North Hawai’i Rotary’s grants and scholarships. Tickets are $45 pre-sale and $50 at the door.

Tickets are available at the Kamuela Liquor Store. Waimea Country School, Bank of Hawai’i, First Hawaiian Bank, and Big Island Brewhaus.  Any member of the North Hawai’i Rotary may also sell tickets.

The Paniolo Heritage Center at Pukalani Stables is located at 67-139 Pukalani Road in Kamuela.
