Today is the last day to register for a pirate themed business networking event at Humpy’s Big Island Alehouse this Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The September 19 event is presented by the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce as part of their monthly After Hours event series.

KKCC holds an After Hours event each month at different businesses across West Hawaii as a way to strengthen the Big Island business community through networking and communication.

The theme for this event is in recognition of International Talk Like a Pirate Day. According to Chamber officials, it’s the first time KKCC has tried a pirate themed event. Attendees are encouraged to dress in pirate costume, although it’s not required.
