Police are renewing their request for the public’s assistance in identifying a man whose partially decomposed body was found July 19 in a West Hawai`i park.

The middle-aged homeless Caucasian man discovered at Higashihara Park in Keauhou Mauka was between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-11. He was believed to have frequented the nearby Honalo and Kainaliu areas as well as Kealakekua.

He was shoeless and wearing blue jeans and a blue T-shirt depicting a SpongeBob SquarePants character and the words “It’s Hip To Be Square.”
