Man Charged with Forgery in Theft of Personal Checks

Big Island police have charged a Pahoa man with eight offenses in connection with a burglary that occurred July 15 in Nanawale Estates.
Police arrested Dennis Duane Lipps Jr., 20, on Monday on suspicion of burglarizing the home and taking items that included personal checks.
Lipps was charged Wednesday with burglary, three counts of theft, two counts of forgery, and two counts of identity theft.
His bail was initially set at $101,000.
