Vulcan Volleyball Adds a Trio of 2012 Recruits

With the season less than a month away, the University of Hawai`i at Hilo women’s volleyball program has added three more talented players to their program for the upcoming season.

Head Coach Tino Reyes announced Wednesday that the program is bringing in outside hitters Joshell Lilio from Castle High School on Oahu, Bria Morgan from Soquel High School in California, and Abbey Wade from Roseville High School, also in California.

Lilio was a multi-sport athlete at Castle, playing soccer, basketball, and volleyball. She competed in the OC16 Senior Girls Volleyball Invitational this season on the North team. She was also named to the Honorable Mention list in OIA Girls Basketball in 2012.

Morgan was a co-MVP of the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League (SCCAL) the past two seasons, and her squad was the co-champion of the SCCAL league in 2011. She also played for the Main Beach Volleyball Club in Santa Cruz.

Wade comes over as a transfer from Western Nebraska Junior College, where she averaged 2.24 kills per set as a freshman. She also earned a 32 percent hitting efficiancy,
