38th Annual Hawaii County Business Outlook Forum Aug. 23

The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce and First Hawaiian Bank will hold the 38th annual Hawaii County Business Outlook Forum on Thursday, Aug. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort.

The event brings together business leaders from across the island to hear economic forecasts specifically for the island.

The event will feature two guest speakers: Leroy O. Laney, professor of economics and finance, Hawaii Pacific University, whose talk is entitled “Big Island Economy in 2013,” and Jack P. Suyderhoud, professor of economics at Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii-Manoa, whose talk is entitled  “U.S. and Global Economic Forecast.”

Registration starts at 11 a.m. with the luncheon and presentations at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $45 for Chamber members and $55 for nonmembers.  Reservations required and due by Monday, Aug. 20.
