Body Found at Higashihara Park

Hawai’i Island police are investigating the discovery of a body found last night at Higashihara Park in Keauhou Mauka.
The incident was reported at 5:48 p.m. on Thursday, July 19.
Fire Department personnel arrived on scene to find a partially decomposed body, lying in an area of heavy brush and vegetation.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division have since initiated a coroner’s inquest case with an autopsy pending to determine the exact cause of death.
At last report, police had not yet determined the identity, age, or sex of the deceased.
