Man Sought For Making Threat, Discharging Firearm

Police are looking for a 34-year-old Hilo man wanted for attempted murder who allegedly fired a shot in the parking lot of a Hilo apartment complex early Wednesday.

Police identified the suspect as Jarvis Naoke Higa. He is described as 5-foot-6 and 160 pounds, with short black hair and tattoos on his chest.

Police received a report at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday that Jarvis had threatened a man in the parking lot of the Orchid Manor condominium complex on Kalanianaole Avenue and fired a shot before fleeing.

Police said Jarvis may be armed and dangerous.
