Treat dad and the family to a day of great music at the Waiki‘i Polo Field at the Waiki‘i Ranch in Kamuela. The upper gate opens at 9 a.m. and music, food and crafts will be available all day until 6 p.m.

On Sunday June 17, the second day of the Waiki‘i Music fest will entertain locals and tourists with Hawaiian, Paniolo and Country music.

Expect to be enthralled with performances by Willie K., Cyril Pahinui, Paul Nash, Guy Cruz with Ernie Cruz Sr., Carly Smith, Willie-Joe Camaro and Damien de Mello and Mike Love. Tickets are $50 at the gate for adults and $25 for students. Children aged 9 and younger get in free.

This music festival benefits the ‘Aha Punana Leo and Paniolo Preservation Society. For more information visit www.waikiimusicfestival.org. This is a family friendly, alcohol and drug free event. Organizers ask that attendees leave the tents and coolers at home. However, people are encouraged to bring blankets, low chairs, beach mats and umbrellas. Leave the furred friends at home.

Waiki‘i Ranch is 11 miles from Kamuela in the middle of Parker Ranch country and is located at 67-1026 Palekaiko Road. The lower Waiki‘i gate is reserved for Waiki‘i residents. Festival goers will only be allowed through the upper gate.
