Large Amount of Metal Roofing Stolen in Kawaihae

Big Island police are investigating the theft of more than $50,000 worth of metal siding and roofing at the Kawaihae Industrial Area.
Approximately 400 sheets of the material were taken in the theft which occurred since Monday, police said. The sheets are 24-gauge thick and measure 24 feet by 4 feet. Some are blue and others are white.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call the police department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.
