UPDATE: Canadian Scuba Diver Died of Drowning

Big Island police said preliminary autopsy results have indicated that a 49-year-old Canadian tourist pulled from the water Wednesday by other members of a scuba diving tour drowned.
William Savage of Okotoks, Alberta, Canada was with a group of other divers north of Honokohau Harbor in Kona when he failed to surface after a large wave surge.
Other members of the group pulled him from the water and began performing CPR. He was taken to Honokohau Harbor, where police and rescue crews rushed him to Kona Community Hospital. Savage was pronounced dead at 10:23 a.m.
