Police said alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash. It was not known if Wolfson was wearing a helmet, but a helmet was found at the scene.

This was the 11th traffic fatality this year on the Big Island. Four of those deaths involved motorcycle riders.

There were seven traffic fatalities at this time last year.
