Grammy award and multiple Na Hoku Hanohano awards winner, slack-key guitarist John Keawe will perform on March 17 to raise funds for the Kamuela Philharmonic.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Waikoloa Village.

The space will be filled with a gorgeously rich sound from the philharmonic as they accompany Keawe on some of his original compositions. In addition to the night’s musical works, Keawe’s wife Hope will visually ensnare the audience with her graceful hula.

Keawe’s latest album released in 2010 titled “Play With Me Papa,” was the 2011 Na Hoku Hanohano winner for slack-key album of the year.  This is his second Na Hoku win for best slack-key album of the year.
