Tonight, choreographer Trey McIntyre lends his artistic talent and vision to bring his show “Ma Maison,” to Big Islanders at Kahilu Theatre. Nine dancers, local costumer Jeanne Button with music from the Preservation Hall Jazz Band (PHJB),  will all combine their skills to create a special entertainment event that begins at 8 p.m.

Dance will be powerful and intricate with street dance and ballet moves to mesmerize and entrance the audience. The music will be handcrafted jazz with their New Orleans roots. This performance includes new compositions created specifically for this project. McIntyre and PHJB meshed performance elements with sounds, sights and flavors of Creole, Blues and influences from the French West Indies.

The show debuts tonight at 8 p.m. at the Kahilu Theatre for one performance only. Tickets range from $25 to $65. Call 885-6868 for tickets or information, or visit, www.kahilutheatre.org/current-season/186/trey-mcintyre-project. The Kahilu Theatre is located behind the Parker Ranch Center in Waimea/Kamuela at 67-1186 Lindsey Road.
