The US Army Garrison-Pohakuloa will be hosting an inaugural firearms challenge for approximately 30 local law enforcement officers this Saturday, Aug. 10.

Officers from US Army Garrison-Pōhakuloa’s Department of Army Police
force, the Hawai`i Police Department, the Hawai`i Department of Public
Safety’s Sheriff Division, and Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park will
take part in the firearms challenge.

The challenge will feature both individual and team competitions
designed to test handling skills, safety, accuracy and
confidence using their on-duty firearms.

USAG-Pōhakuloa has announced the event will become an annual challenge, and is meant to support professional relationships, good practices, and build camaraderie between county, state and federal law enforcement officers.
