Highway 11, at mile marker 98, in Pahoehoe, South Kona, is now open, police reported around 6 p.m.

It closed due to a brush fire, the Hawai‘i Police Department reported at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25.

Fire crews are on scene. Use alternate routes. Slow down when approaching the area.
