HFD Responds to Another Puna Structure Fire

The Hawai‘i Fire Department responded to a second structure fire in Puna in Paradise Park on Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

HFD was alerted to the structure fire located on 15th Avenue at 1:30 p.m in HPP.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a single story structure with heavy smoke and flames showing from rear window area of the structure. The fire was extinguished by using pre-connect hose lines and water from Engines 18 and Tanker 10.

A lone female occupant was able to exit the structure uninjuried prior to fire units arrival.

Damages from the fire have not been determined at this time.
