Puna District Crime Report: Oct. 16 to 31, 2017
The Hawai‘i Police Department’s Puna Community Police responded to two burglaries, one robbery, no vehicle thefts and seven vehicle break-ins in the Puna District over the 14-day period from Oct. 16 to 31, 2017.

The complete list of locations affected and date in which the incidents occurred are as follows:
2 BURGLARIES
- Oct. 19, approximately 10 a.m. on Melekahiwa St., Kea‘au. Report of a burglary at the American Self Storage. Unknown suspect removed various items from unit.
- Oct. 31, approximately 12:30 p.m. on Opelu St., Pāhoa. Owner reported unknown suspect entered and removed various items and and medication valued at $42.
1 ROBBERY

Oct. 10, approximately 3:15 p.m. on Ilima St., Kea‘au. Victim reported being assaulted and robbed by an acquaintance.
0 VEHICLE THEFTS
7 VEHICLE BREAK-INS
- Oct. 27, approximately 4 p.m. on Waiopae Road, Pāhoa. Visitor reported unknown suspect entered rental vehicle and removed various items valued at $12.
- Oct. 28, approximately 6:15 p.m. on 32nd Ave., Kea‘au. Owner reported unknown suspect entered her vehicle and re-moved various items valued at $469.
- Oct. 28, approximately 1:15 p.m. on Kehau Road, Pāhoa. Owner reported unknown suspect entered his vehicle and removed his electronic garage door opener valued at $20.
- Oct. 18, approximately 3:15 p.m. on Papaya Farms Road, Pāhoa. Owner reported unknown suspect entered his vehicle and removed various items valued at $3,030.
- Oct. 26, approximately 9:30 p.m. on Ohia Ave., Mt. View. Owner reported unknown suspect entered her vehicle and removed fuses valued at $30.
- Oct. 27, approximately 4 p.m. on Kapoho Kai Drive, Pāhoa. Visitor reported unknown suspect entered rental vehicle and removed various items valued at $30.
- Oct. 27, approximately 4 p.m. on Kapoho Kai Drive, Pāhoa. Visitor reported unknown suspect entered rental vehicle and removed a jacket valued at $5.
