Big Island Surf Forecast
Hilo side: Surf heights are expected to be waist/head high today but sloppy.
Kona side: Wave heights are expected to be knee/waist high.
South: Wave heights are expected to be knee/waist high.
No significant swells are expected through mid-month. A small pulse is expected for the weekend. Slightly bigger waves expected for the weekend of the 10th and 11th.
Trade winds are back up and east swell has risen as a result. Small Craft Advisory conditions are occurring in our coastal waters.
Leftovers of old north-northwest swell has faded down to leftovers and conditions will be pretty flat for the weekend.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
