Keiki ‘Marathon’ & Festival Slated for June 18

keiki-run-960x320Kona Marathon will present the Aloha Keiki Run on Saturday, June 18, beginning at 8 a.m.

The event will include a keiki festival, live entertainment, a water slide, county fire trucks, Big Wave riding, face painting, tattoo transfers and fun for the whole family.

All runners will receive a T-shirt, goodie bag and a medal.

Ronald McDonald will be on-hand to cheer the runners.

Runs are open to ages 1 through 15, and includes 100-yard dash to one-mile runs.

  • Ages 1–4: 100 yard dash
  • Ages 5–7: 200 yard dash
  • Ages 7–8: 1/4 mile
  • Ages 9–10: 1/2 mile
  • Ages 11–15: 1 mile

A $500 Sports award will be presented to the school with the most participants.

Registration is $15.

Registration is available online and at race day check-in between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. at Kona Commons.

The event is presented by Kona Commons and Kona Marathon Events.
