Students interested in pursing a degree in the field of nursing can apply for two scholarships through North Hawai’i Community Hospital.

Big Island students who are currently enrolled in or who have been accepted to a National League of Nursing accredited program in Hawai’i or on the mainland can apply for the $2,000 Peggy Dineen-Orsini Scholarship. The scholarship is funded through private donors and staff at NHCH in memory of Peggy Dineen-Orsini, a registered nurse at the hospital from 1996 to 2004. She is remembered for her compassion towards patients, colleagues, and friends.

In addition, students enrolled in or accepted to a National Leaugue of Nursing accredited program on the Big Island or on the mainland can apply for one of two $1,000 scholarships funded by NHCH medical staff.
