Looking Ahead
Winds have weakened and turned out of the southeast. These lighter winds will allow afternoon sea breezes to develop, driving cloud and shower formation over interior and leeward areas. Clearing skies at night will allow for cooler temperatures. The Big Island will maintain trade wind conditions with increasing clouds and showers at night. Moderate trades will return Tuesday with strong trades on tap later in the week.
Today
Mostly cloudy skies are expected for windward areas with showers likely in the morning and scattered showers in the afternoon. Partly sunny skies for the Kona side with areas of haze and isolated showers. Cloud cover builds in the afternoon. East winds around 15 mph with higher gusts. High temperatures from 79° to 84°.

Tonight
Northeast winds are expected in the evening up to 15 mph. Low temperatures from 67° to 72°. Mostly cloudy skies are expected in the evening with clearing as the night goes on. Showers are likely in windward spots with isolated showers expected for the leeward side.
