A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all Hawaii County waters through 6 a.m. Thursday for northeast winds up to 30 knots and rough seas up to 12 feet.
A High Surf Advisory is posted for the north facing shores of the Big Island through 6 a.m. Thursday. Surf along north facing shores is expected to build to 18 to 22 feet peaking Wednesday morning.

Looking Ahead
Trade winds will strengthen once again today. Trades are expected to ease a little during the second half of the week. A dry and stable airmass the next several days will limit trade wind showers and lead to plenty of sunshine and comfortable humidity levels for most areas.

Today gusty conditions are expected with northeast winds from 15 to 30 mph. Showers are likely for windward and mauka spots in the morning with sunshine in the afternoon. The Kona and Kau sides are expected to be dry with afternoon cloud build up. High temperatures from 81° to 86°.

Northeast winds are expected in the evening from 15 to 30 mph. Low temperatures from 70° to 75°. Mostly cloudy skies are expected in the evening with showers likely for windward spots. Leeward spots and the Kau district should be clearing as the night goes on.
