Today & Sunday
We expect high temperatures from 82° to 87°. Variable winds are expected up to 15 mph. Partly cloudy skies are forecasted for windward areas with only scattered morning showers and even fewer expected Sunday. For leeward areas and Kau we expect mostly clear mornings and afternoon clouds with scattered showers mainly for upslope areas. Hazy skies are expected (see UHSOEST model above).
UV index at 12 (“extreme” exposure level)
Tonight & Sunday Night
Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight with scattered showers for windward areas. Leeward areas should get mostly cloudy skies to start with clearing expected through the night as the land breeze takes hold. Variable winds are forecasted up to 15 mph. Low temperatures from 70° to 75° are expected.
Looking Ahead
Gentle to moderate trade winds are expected to weaken a bit more this weekend, giving way to daytime sea breezes and nighttime land breezes for many areas. Clouds and showers are expected to favor the interior and leeward sections of our islands during the afternoons and evenings, with only a few night and morning showers windward. The airmass will remain relatively stable, so showers are not expected to be heavy.
