Two Charged in May 21 Burglary in Mountain View

Two men have been charged in connection with a burglary last month in Puna.

Police said tips from the public helped them make arrests in the May 21 break-in of a home on Ihope Road in Mountain View in which jewelry and electronic items were taken.

Ethan Bailey, 24, of Mountain View was arrested a week ago and charged with burglary and two counts of theft. He was released after posting $36,000 bail.

On Friday, police arrested 23-year-old Ronald Altura Jr. of Hilo and charged him with burglary.

He was being held at the Hilo cellblock today in lieu of $5,000 bail pending an initial court appearance.
