Big Island police arrested a 25-year-old Kea`au woman at the Hilo airport Tuesday on multiple theft and forgery charges.

Suzy Cho Chun was being investigated in connection with 28 forged checks totaling more than $9,000. The checks were from her former place of business and were cashed at various financial institutions around the island.

HPD investigators received an anonymous tip that Chun would be returning to Hawaiʻi from a trip off-island. Police, acting on the tip-off, arrested her at the Hilo airport on 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Chun was also arrested on two counts of revocation of supervised release based on no-bail bench warrants issued by District Court.
