      no what they need is another highway out of Puna. Basically the fastest growing district in the State has 1 traffic artery and its a DEAD END!

      Less than half the Population is working and paying taxes here and 29% of those people work for the government, so roughly 30% of the population here in Hawaii is paying the tax burden for the entire state. Because we’re spending so much money, paying people to NOT work here, we can’t afford one of Governments most basic jobs, building some &^#$’ing infrastructure!!!

    i agree mayor billy kenoi who come from puna side have to deal with another highway so dont grumble you voted for that mayor if harry kim was mayor that highway would be fix long time ago

      I doubt it, the problem is deeper than one Mayor.
      There is no political will to take on Shipman and open up Beach Road from Kings landing, or go through Railroad.
