Amateur and professional photographers are wanted for the newest competition and exhibit from Volcanoes National Park.
The project, called “Images From the Edge,” will feature photographs taken from within the park by residents and visitors of all ages and skill levels.

First, second, and third place awards will be given for the Amateur-Beginner category, the Amateur-Advanced, and the Professional. There will also be three to seven Honorable Mentions. The entry fee for up to three photos is $25.
All images will be considered for a special multi-image slideshow to take place on April 28. Finalists will show their work in an exhibit from June 9 through June 17, at the Volcano Art Center Gallery.
Professional photographers Rick Decker and Alvis Upitis, will be judging the contest based on creativity, camera skills, photographic quality, and appropriateness to the theme of Volcanoes National Park.
Prizes include a helicopter tour for two, a zipline adventure for two, a private volcano tour for two, gift certificates and more. For more information visit www.fhvnp.org. The deadline for submissions is April 2.
