Brian Perry
A graduate of Roosevelt High School in Honolulu and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Brian Perry worked as a staff writer and editor at The Maui News from 1990 to 2018. Before that, he was a reporter at the Pacific Daily News in Agana, Guam, from 1985 to 1990. From 2019 to 2022, he was director of communications in the Office of the Mayor under former Mayor Michael Victorino. With his wife, Claudine San Nicolas, Brian co-founded Red Rice Maui LLC, a public relations and communications business in January 2023.
The Perrys live in Wailuku, and they have two adult daughters: Maya Rita and Serena Dolores San Nicolas Perry. Brian and Claudine are parishioners at St. Theresa Church in Kīhei and serve in the Worldwide Marriage Encounter ministry. They enjoy walking, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
