Update: Lava fountains end abrubtly, bringing Episode 13 of ongoing Kīlauea eruption to close

Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reported geysers of molten rock ceased from north vent at 3:11 p.m. March 11 and then just 2 minutes later from south vent after just 12 hours and 37 minutes of eruptive activity in Halemaʻumaʻu Crater.

Well, at least this eruption of Kīlauea was longer than the last one

Kīlauea volcano’s Episode 7 of eruptive activity ends abrubtly 16 hours after it began, but inflation at the summit is already on the rise again, so it might not be long until an Episode 8 is underway.

Kīlauea eruption daily update: Numerous oozeouts seen over parts of Halema‘uma‘u crater floor overnight

Overnight webcam imagery of the Kīlauea summit showed active lava remains restricted to the northeastern parts of Halemaʻumaʻu crater and outside the crater known as the downdropped block.
