Update: Ocean View murder victim identified; police continue investigation
The remains of a man discovered Oct. 18 on a property on Tiki Lane were those of 56-year-old Wayne Richard Moriarty, also known as Arthur Hackett, of Ocean View. A forensic pathologist determined Moriarty’s death was caused by a gunshot wound and ruled it a homicide.

The body of 51-year-old Adam Santos was discovered Tuesday after an anonymous source tipped Big Island police off about something thought to be dead and partially buried in the lot on Tiki Lane.
44-year-old charged with attempted murder after firing rifle at woman in Ocean View
Rilson Rodrigues, 44 of Ocean View, was arrested and charged with a series of offenses, including attempted murder, following a domestic dispute on April 2 in Ocean View during which he fired a rifle multiple times at a 40-year-old woman trying to escape in a car.
