#Rose Award of Excellence

The award dinner is also a fundraiser for the Zonta Club of Hilo and will help support scholarships for young women, programs on confidence building for middle school girls, women’s and girls’ advocacy, and Pay-it-Forward micro-grants to local women-owned businesses.

Since 2004, the Zonta Club of Hilo has recognized outstanding women who have helped shape the community to provide visible examples for tomorrow’s women leaders.

The Zonta Club of Hilo will honor Sen. Mazie Hirono and community leader, Irene Nagao, with its biennial “Rose Award of Excellence”.

Johnson will be recognized during a ceremony at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel on March 14.
