#reopened road

Around 100 protestors gathered at Waipi’o Valley Road in response to Hawai‘i Island Mayor Mitch Roth amending his emergency order to reopen the road to residential and tour operator vehicle traffic. They said the mayor’s sudden reversal disrespected the residents who have worked for years with the county to try and find a solution to fixing the overcrowded road.
