UH-Hilo senior to embark on an expedition to unknown depths of the ocean

Hayden Niles will join experts on a research vessel and will utilize advanced mapping systems to explore uncharted ocean habitats surrounding the Marshall Islands for 21 days beginning on Sunday.

Footage from this system will then be used to create near real-time exciting applications for marine research and outreach.
