Hilo airport runway to be closed nightly beginning Monday for lighting upgrades

Phase 4 of the Taxiway and Runway Lighting Replacement Project will replace all runway and taxiway lighting infrastructure, light fixtures and airfield signs as well as improve the electrical draining system at Hilo’s airport.

Bad weather pushes completion of Puainako Street Resurfacing Project to next month

To ease impact on the surrounding schools, the remaining work on this project will be completed as night work, between the hours of 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.
