Alert: No Tsunami expected after 5.0 earthquake on Big Island’s Mauna Loa
A 5.0 magnitude earthquake occurred at 9:07 a.m. Friday on the southeastern flank of Mauna Loa on the Big Island, but no tsunami is expected, according to the National Weather Service’s Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Honolulu.
